Maria Järvare

I have over 25 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults, both individually and within family constellations. Over the years, I have encountered people at different stages of life and with varying life circumstances, where psychological suffering can often be understood in terms of early experiences, relational wounds, and survival strategies that were once necessary but have become limiting over time.

I have worked in several different settings, including addiction treatment, specialist psychiatry, social services, schools, and residential care homes. This breadth has given me a deeper understanding of the interplay between an individual’s inner world and the external relational and societal contexts that influence mental health. 

Internationally, I have worked with Lifespan Integration (LI) as a trauma method within psychiatry and inpatient addiction care in Tanzania, and I am currently also active in the United States, where I provide therapeutic support to traumatized war veterans. In addition, I volunteer as a therapist with WONSA (World of No Sexual Abuse), where the focus is on healing sexual trauma and restoring safety and trust.
