Rehab admissions at Castle Health begin wherever you are – sometimes that’s a clear decision and a date already in mind, other times it’s a call made on the third or fourth attempt, by someone not entirely sure what they’re asking for yet.Â
From your first phone call through to your arrival at one of our facilities in the UK or wider Europe, our role stays the same. We listen, give you clear information, answer the questions you have, and help you work out the right next step.
When you get in touch, you’ll speak with a member of our admissions team. They’ll explain what rehab treatment involves and what level of care might suit your situation. Here, you’ll be able to ask anything that’s on your mind, and there’s never any obligation to decide on anything there and then.

"I contacted Castle Health [formerly CATCH Recovery] seeking guidance and options to support a relative who was having a difficult time both with addiction and other mental health concerns. The team were incredibly kind and informed, they took the time to go through all the options with me and helped us plan how to approach the matter. Fortunately the person has now been receiving care from [CATCH] for several months and is doing really well. A big thank you to the wonderful team! I would highly recommend this service."
Our facilities across the UK and Europe provide medical care and evidence-based therapy from the first conversation through to discharge. Here’s what to expect at each stage of your rehab admissions journey:
A private phone call about your drinking or drug use, your wider health, and whether residential treatment or outpatient care suits you now. If a mental health condition is part of your presentation, the assessment captures that too.
We agree a date with you, and walk you through how to prepare and what to expect on arrival.
When you arrive, our doctors review your health history and current medication. They’ll look closely at any risk of withdrawal. This lets the clinical team plan safely for your first days and shape a treatment plan around your specific needs.
If stopping alcohol or certain drugs is likely to cause withdrawal symptoms, our nursing team monitors your health closely. Doctors prescribe medication where needed to keep you safe and as comfortable as possible during this stage.
nce you’re physically stable, daily therapy begins. This includes individual sessions and group work, alongside practical planning for the situations that previously led to drinking or drug use.
With your consent, relatives can be included in family therapy sessions, or simply be informed of how your treatment is going, and how to support your recovery once you leave full time care and step into the aftercare phase.
To make sure you have the right support from day one, we’ll ask about your current alcohol or drug use, any withdrawal symptoms, your physical and mental health, your age, and any medication you’re taking.Â
This helps us recommend the right level of care, whether that’s outpatient treatment or residential treatment, and ensures the medical support is in place from the start.
In some cases, rehab admission can be arranged within 48 hours, subject to your assessment and insurance confirmation.Â
We’ll agree on a date to begin your residential stay or attend your first outpatient appointment, explain what to bring, and talk through travel and arrival.
If you’re starting online rehab with us, we’ll send you a secure link and details on how to join your first session remotely.
Our admissions team will explain prices clearly before you make a decision and discuss payment options or insurance cover where relevant.Â
Fees vary between outpatient and inpatient treatment, and the cost of residential care depends on the length of stay and room type.
When you arrive, staff greet you and show you around the facility. If required, the first stage involves a medically managed detox, with monitoring and medication where appropriate.
Once this stage is complete, your daily routine begins. You’re introduced to the programme and meet other patients. Therapy sessions begin from there.Â
Our rehab admissions process starts with an initial assessment that helps us shape a treatment plan tailored to your needs. You may be admitted within as little as 48 hours, depending on confirmation of your health insurance and the outcome of your assessment.

Whether you’re getting in touch for yourself or for someone in your life, we start by understanding your situation. When you call, our admissions team will ask about your circumstances and what you’re looking for from treatment.Â
We’ll also answer any questions you have about our residential facilities and outpatient programmes. This first conversation helps us both work out whether Castle Health is the right fit for what you need.
If you decide to move forward, we arrange a more detailed assessment by phone. This usually takes around 30 minutes. It gives you space to talk about your alcohol or drug use, your mental health, and what’s brought you to this point.Â
The questions help us understand what level of care you need and which treatment approach is most suitable.Â

To provide safe, effective care, we need to understand your physical and mental health history. We’ll ask for your GP’s contact details and request a copy of your medical records. This is standard practice when transferring between healthcare services and helps us build a complete picture of your health needs before you arrive.
We usually receive the information we need from your GP within 24 hours of requesting it. If there are any delays, we’ll keep you informed.
Once we have the medical information we need, we can arrange your admission date. Our team can help you arrange transport, confirm payment, and send you what you need to prepare for arrival:
Cost is often one of the first things people ask about, and we want to make that part of the process as straightforward as possible. Our admissions team will talk through your options honestly and without pressure before you decide anything.
Treatment can be funded in several ways:
