Jax Beatty

Addiction Therapist

“I help people understand the patterns that keep them stuck, so they can move from survival into a more grounded, connected and fulfilling way of living.”

Jax Beatty is an experienced psychotherapist with over 20 years’ experience. During this time she has worked as an Addictions and Trauma Specialist with individuals, as well as those affected by addiction, such as family members and partners. Jax also delivers workshops and training on a variety of wellbeing topics and has extensive experience facilitating therapeutic groups.

Jax holds a Master’s degree in Psychotherapy and a Degree in Addictions Science from the University of Bath. She is trained in EMDR, Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Person-Centred Counselling, Family Systemic approaches, and Interpersonal Group Therapy. Her work is informed by attachment theory and trauma-informed practice. She also has a background in the arts, which contributes to a thoughtful, flexible, and creative approach to therapy.

Her areas of expertise include addiction, trauma, maladaptive coping patterns, depression, relationship difficulties, co-dependency, loss, and family dynamics.

Jax offers a comfortable, compassionate space to work collaboratively with clients, supporting both short- and longer-term therapeutic work as needed. Her focus is on helping clients express and understand thoughts, emotions, and behavioural patterns that may be preventing them from living more fulfilling and meaningful lives.
