Michael Swales
Michael is a CCAR® Recovery Coach Professional (RCP), Recovery Coach Supervisor, Integrative Counsellor and Relationship Therapist specialising in Somatic Trauma Therapy.
He has worked in NHS short-term therapy services and with young people in residential rehab, supporting their recovery from substance and process addictions.
Michael’s own recovery was inconsistent and painful for a few years until entering residential treatment, working the programme and incorporating the principles he learnt there into his work and family life. He is now 10 years clean and sober.
Currently, as well as his private practice, Michael works with various homeless charities, providing individual addiction therapy for their clients and facilitating group work for the staff.
In his role as a Recovery Coach, Michael provides a personalised mentoring and guidance programme to support long-term recovery from addictions.
