Purva Bhargava

Purva is a Counselling Psychologist with over 20 years of experience. She has worked in Drugs & Alcohol for the NHS in Primary Care in various GP surgeries, in the voluntary sector, as well as in a University Counselling Service.

Besides having a private practice for 19 years now, Purva has also been a Clinical Supervisor for seven years at a well-known charity, and supervises Counselling Psychologists in Training.

For Purva, the client is bigger than the model, and she works according to the client’s needs, as opposed to trying to fit a model to the client. She believes that everybody has the ability to change and develop. Purva is passionate about working with people and sees it as a vocation as opposed to a job.
