Private outpatient rehab in Romania
Personalised addiction treatment in Romania
Castle Health provides online rehab for people living in Romania. Our primary focus is addiction treatment. When needed, we also support co-occurring mental health conditions as part of your care.
For patients living in Romania, we provide:
- Online outpatient therapy
- Residential care at one of our private inpatient centres in Ireland or the UK
- Mental health assessment and referral
Where residential care is needed to help manage your addiction, our clinical team can refer you to Castle Craig in Scotland or Smarmore Castle in Ireland. Our team will help you understand which level of support is right for you. An initial assessment can be arranged when you first contact us.
You don’t need a GP referral to get started. Call our admissions team, and we’ll guide you through your options.
Online rehab in Romania
If you live in Romania, you can access specialist addiction treatment as an outpatient with Castle Health. Your treatment will be delivered online, from home.
Secure video sessions are delivered by qualified therapists, psychiatrists, and recovery coaches within the Castle Health network.
Our online therapy is suitable if you’re looking for treatment for alcohol, drugs, prescription drugs, gambling, or other behavioural addictions. Support for co-occurring mental health conditions is also available as part of your care. Please view the full list of addictions we treat to find out how we can support you.
If your needs change or a higher level of support becomes appropriate, our clinical team will talk you through the next steps. For some people, that means a referral to one of our residential treatment centres.
What your treatment may include
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT): supports you in identifying and changing the thought patterns and behaviours that contribute to addiction or mental health difficulties.
- Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT): builds practical skills for tolerating distress, regulating emotions, and reducing harmful behaviours.
- Motivational Interviewing: a collaborative, non-judgmental approach that helps you explore your own readiness to change and build confidence in your recovery.
- Trauma-informed therapy: explores underlying experiences that may be connected to addiction or mental health difficulties, within a safe and supportive environment.
- Family therapy: helps the people closest to you understand what you are going through and develop healthier ways of communicating and offering support.
- Psychiatric review: regular assessment by a psychiatrist to monitor your mental health and make adjustments to your treatment plan where needed.
- Relapse prevention planning: identifies your personal triggers and builds practical strategies to help you sustain recovery over time.
- 12 Step: draws on the principles of peer support and personal accountability to support long-term recovery.
If you are looking for mental health services only, get in touch. Our Private Consultant Psychiatrist, Dr Peter McCann, provides mental health assessments and provides referrals to accredited mental health treatment that is right for you.
In-person rehab for people living in Romania
Outpatient treatment is available in person at Castle Health clinics across the UK and Europe. We don’t currently provide in-person treatment in Romania.
If you would prefer face-to-face care, contact us to discuss whether travelling to one of our outpatient locations is a practical option for you. Our team will explain the options available and help you decide what works best for your situation.
If travelling is not practical, our online outpatient service is available from home and follows the same therapeutic approach used in our in-person programmes.
Inpatient rehab for people living in Romania
Online treatment can be effective for many people, particularly those with strong social support, a stable living environment, and mild to moderate levels of dependence. However, it isn’t the right fit for everyone.
If you require medically supervised detoxification, or if your needs are better suited to a residential setting, our clinical team can refer you to an appropriate residential addiction service. This may include Castle Craig in Scotland or Smarmore Castle in Ireland. Both centres offer medically managed detox where necessary, daily therapy, psychiatric review, and 24-hour clinical support.
If you are seeking inpatient mental health treatment as a standalone service, this isn’t something we currently offer. However, mental health support is integrated into addiction treatment at Castle Craig and Smarmore Castle, where psychiatric review and therapeutic care are part of the residential programme.
Travel to residential centres can be arranged with the support of our admissions team.
If you have international health insurance, contact your provider directly to find out whether your policy covers residential addiction treatment.
Before you leave residential treatment, your clinical team will put together an aftercare plan. This will be delivered through the Castle Health outpatient programme, and can be delivered online.
The team behind your care
The therapists, psychiatrists, and recovery coaches who deliver your care hold accreditations with BACP, COSCA, and the National Association of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Counsellors (NAADAC). They bring decades of combined experience across addiction treatment and mental health.
Qualifications matter, but so does the way care is delivered. At Castle Health, every person is treated as an individual. That starts from your first conversation with us.
About Castle Health
The Castle Health Group has been treating addiction since 1983. Our team includes psychiatrists, psychotherapists, addiction counsellors, and recovery coaches. They will work with you to understand not just your substance use, but everything connected to it.
We take a holistic approach. We look at the psychological, social, and medical aspects of addiction, together with your personal history. We then build a treatment plan that reflects your individual needs.
We have developed a full range of care, from initial assessment and online therapy through to residential treatment, aftercare, and alumni support.
Our admissions team can talk you through the costs involved and whether your health insurance may cover part or all of your treatment.
