Confidential outpatient rehab in Norway

Castle Health provides private outpatient rehab in Norway through secure remote care. Our programmes are delivered by an experienced team of addiction therapists, psychiatrists, and recovery coaches based across the UK and Europe.

Whether you are dealing with addiction or a mental health condition, our clinical team are here to help. We’ll work with you to understand your situation and put together a plan that fits your life.

Our rehab support for patients in Norway includes:

  • Online outpatient therapy
  • Residential care at one of our private inpatient centres
  • Standalone mental health assessment and referral

You can access specialist support from home, with the option of referral to one of our residential treatment centres if a higher level of care becomes necessary.

Online rehab in Norway

For many people living in Norway, online treatment is a practical way to access specialist support. Castle Health provides online addiction treatment and mental health support through secure video calls with an experienced Castle Health therapist, so you never need to attend in person.

You will work through the patterns behind your substance use or mental health difficulties with your therapist. Then you will develop practical tools for managing difficult moments and build a plan designed to support your recovery long term. If family members want to be involved, our online family support programme is available to help those closest to you understand what you are going through and how to offer meaningful support.

Online therapy is also suitable for people who want to continue structured support after completing residential rehab at one of our facilities. You can join our remote therapy programme as part of your continuing care plan.

What your treatment may include

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT): supports you in identifying and changing the thought patterns and behaviours that contribute to addiction or mental health difficulties.
  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT): builds practical skills for tolerating distress, regulating emotions, and reducing harmful behaviours.
  • Motivational Interviewing: a collaborative, non-judgmental approach that helps you explore your own readiness to change and build confidence in your recovery.
  • Trauma-informed therapy: explores underlying experiences that may be connected to addiction or mental health difficulties, within a safe and supportive environment.
  • Family therapy: helps the people closest to you understand what you are going through and develop healthier ways of communicating and offering support.
  • Psychiatric review: regular assessment by a psychiatrist to monitor your mental health and make adjustments to your treatment plan where needed.
  • Relapse prevention planning: identifies your personal triggers and builds practical strategies to help you sustain recovery over time.
  • 12 Step: draws on the principles of peer support and personal accountability to support long-term recovery.

Outpatient rehab in Norway

Castle Health doesn’t currently operate a walk-in clinic in Norway. We do provide outpatient appointments at other locations across Europe, where you can meet a therapist in person if you prefer.

If you prefer in-person care, our outpatient services in Sweden at Stockholms Beroendeklinik could be a good option if you are able to travel.

Inpatient rehab for people living in Norway

Online and outpatient treatment works well for many people. For those who need medically supervised detox or a more immersive level of care away from day-to-day life, residential treatment may be the best option.

Castle Health can arrange admission to Castle Craig Hospital in Scotland or Smarmore Castle in Ireland. Both centres offer medically managed detox, daily therapy, psychiatric support for co-occurring mental health conditions, and 24-hour clinical support. Our team can assist with travel arrangements and will guide you through a short phone assessment to help determine the right level of care.

If you hold international health insurance, your policy may cover some or all of the costs of residential treatment. Once your stay is complete, your clinical team will work with you on an aftercare plan to support your recovery when you return home.

Please note that residential treatment for mental health is only available as part of addiction treatment at one of our specialist addiction centres. If a standalone residential mental health programme is more appropriate for your needs, our team will refer you to an accredited provider.

Expert care from an accredited clinical team

Our online therapists, psychiatrists, and recovery coaches bring decades of combined experience in addiction treatment and mental health care. They hold accreditations with BACP, COSCA, and the National Association of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Counsellors (NAADAC).

More than their qualifications, they understand what it takes to ask for help. Everyone who comes to Castle Health is treated as an individual, and your care will reflect that from the very first conversation.

About Castle Health

The Castle Health Group has been treating addiction since 1983. Our team includes psychiatrists, psychotherapists, addiction counsellors, and recovery coaches. They will work with you to understand not just your substance use, but everything connected to it.

We take a holistic approach. That means we treat the whole person. We look at the psychological, social, and medical aspects of addiction, together with your personal history, to build a treatment plan that reflects your individual needs.

We have developed a full range of care, from initial assessment and online therapy through to residential treatment, aftercare, and long-term alumni support.

Our admissions team can talk you through the costs involved and whether your health insurance may cover part or all of your treatment.

FAQ

How Long Does Rehab Last?

Typical addiction treatment plans last from 30, 45, 60, or 90 days depending on the type of dependency. Depending on the type of programme you choose, you may spend more or less time in rehab.

During the inpatient programme, you stay in the recovery centre for the duration of your treatment, while outpatient programmes allow you to come to the centre only when you are scheduled for therapy and treatment. Inpatient programmes keep patients away from addictive habits allowing healing to take place in a substance-free environment.

Outpatient programmes are more suited for patients who need to take care of their career and home life.

What Is an Average Day Like in a Rehab Centre?

At our rehab centre, detox is the first step in your recovery process. This could last from one day to two weeks. After you have completed the detox process, you will be able to relax and recover by engaging in creative activities provided by our clinic. Depending on your treatment plan option, you may have a specific routine such as breakfast first, then mindfulness sessions, group or individual therapy, and outdoor activities. All Castle Health programmes will be fitted to the recovery needs of the patient while providing the necessary structure and stability for lasting change.
