Inpatient addiction rehab in Ireland

Smarmore Castle is our residential addiction treatment centre in Ireland. You’ll stay at the clinic during your treatment, often for around 4 weeks. The first days involve assessments and, if needed, a medically managed detox so your body can stabilise safely. Nurses are on site and a doctor reviews your health regularly throughout your stay.

The days at the clinic follow a predictable routine. You’ll meet a therapist, attend small group sessions, engage with holistic therapies, and have space to rest in the evening. The work looks at the underlying causes and triggers for alcohol or drug use and how to handle those moments at home.

Anxiety and other mental health conditions can also be addressed at Smarmore Castle, alongside addiction. Before you leave residential treatment, we’ll work with you to agree a clear plan so support continues when you leave.

Outpatient addiction rehab in Ireland

We offer outpatient addiction rehab in Ireland through our clinic in Dublin. You can attend appointments while continuing to live at home, so treatment fits around your work and family life. After an initial assessment, you’ll work with a therapist and come in regularly for sessions, often weekly.

Our outpatient treatment uses the same therapeutic approaches as residential care. This includes one-to-one counselling, group therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), family therapy, and 12 Step work. You’ll also focus on practical coping strategies you can use straight away in everyday situations. Outpatient treatment usually lasts for several months.

Online addiction rehab in Ireland

Our online addiction rehab is for people who can’t easily attend in-person treatment at one of our locations or who need more flexibility. You’ll meet a therapist remotely by secure video, starting with an assessment and then regular therapy sessions from home.

Online treatment can include one-to-one counselling, relapse prevention work, and family sessions if suitable. It’s often used by people who travel for work or who want to begin treatment before considering residential care.
